Shell Canada is currently seeking a Project Services Manager - Americas Onshore Projects for our Calgary, Alberta location.

Responsibilities:
The Onshore Projects group has a wide portfolio of projects being executed in the America’s region. Projects ranging in size from small well site tie ins to large heavy oil growth projects. The project services requirements for these projects are varied depending on the level of complexity, number of individual workstreams, location and phase of the ORP that they are currently in. The position of Project Services Manager is to provide consistent Project Services support to the teams executing these projects. The incumbent will actively support the projects by ensuring adequate personnel are assigned and engaged for each project as well as providing consistent project controls processes appropriate for the size of the project. Leveraging off the existing Shell processes and procedures this role requires the development and implementation of processes to provide Cost Control, Estimating, Planning, Scheduling, Progress Measurement, Management of Change, Risk Management and Status Reporting.

Key elements of the position include:
* Manage Project Services personnel assigned to each project and area
* Coordinate use of project services personnel to ensure efficient use of resource availability
* Develop and maintain process and procedures to support mid-sized projects
* Ensure alignment with both Heavy Oil, Onshore Gas, Global standards and procedures

Attributes required for the position:
* Communication skills – written, verbal & presentation with both internal and external stakeholders
* Decisiveness – ability to trade off conflicting expectations to select processes that achieve overall needs of midsized projects
* Teamwork – work effectively with peers, subordinates, supervisors, multiple project managers and other disciplines

Position Accountabilities:
* Actively contribute to ‘Goal Zero’ objectives by leading by example. Similarly, demonstrate strong support for team and corporate values of respectful workplace, diversity, and General Business Principals
* Support the individual Project Managers in the execution of their scopes of work
* Balancing of project services workforce requirements to support onshore projects portfolio
* Provide mentoring and leadership for project services team members

Requirements:
*Must have legal authorization to work in Canada on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
* Professional qualifications preferably in Engineering (at least a BSc or equivalent)
* A competent proven professional with demonstrated experience/capability in:
o Project Services Management of mid-size type projects
o Strong working knowledge of ORP and OPM
o Experience with upstream projects (involving subsurface aspects including drilling and completions)
* An equivalent of 20+ years of experience in the international Oil and Gas industry of which at least 5 years in a lead/supervisory position
* Working knowledge of International and Canadian codes and standards as applicable to the Oil and Gas processing / mining industry and with Shell standards.

Salary Range: $144,000.00 to $216,000.00
