Grade 7: £30,870 - £35,788 per annum
The Department invites applications for a Research Assistant to work with Professor Nicholas Wheeler on his 3-year ESRC-AHRC Fellowship Grant entitled The Challenges to Trust-Building in Nuclear Worlds. The project forms part of the 'RCUK Global Uncertainties: Security for all in a Changing World' Programme. This position will entail identification and acquisition of research materials, contributing to specific outputs from the project, and general organisational support (including dissemination) for this multidisciplinary project. The successful candidate must have an advanced postgraduate qualification - or equivalent experience - in a discipline relevant to the project, be familiar with a wide range of research methodologies, and have excellent IT skills. Experience in organising workshops/conferences is a key requirement of the post. The position is available from 1 November 2011. This post is a fixed term for 11 months.
