Senior Consultant (mobile) to Project Director Job Vacancy January 2011 : Our client, the largest independent wireless engineering company in the world, is a recognized leader in providing wireless voice and data turn-key services to the telecommunications industry is currently seeking to recruit Senior Consultant (mobile) to Project Director .

You will be reporting to the Project Director Key Responsibilities A solitary consulting role working with the company project director to achieve the following-Initiate, participate and follow to closure of various key initiatives, either in progress or yet to be defined like General design process improvements Network reliability and performance improvements New technology introduction Etc. -Interact with all responsible departments in both network design as well as network planning and network implementation to achieve the above -Support future network strategies, architecture development and network roadmaps in order to meet the business targets for reducing OPEX and CAPEX and being in line with latest technology development -Leverage a strong knowledge of technology trends for the selection of the most cost effective and best practice network solutions -Create and apply necessary processes and procedures to maintain and improve the work efficiencyperformance Expertise and Skills Solid, deep technical understanding of all design and engineering aspects for 2G, 3G and 4G mobile networks including softswitches, IMS, various forms of access, backhaul (including GPON) Experience with migration to Mobile NGN e.g. MSC to sMSC, UDSS, MGW, etc Solid experience with a multivendor network environment (Huawei, Ericsson, NSN equipment ranges) Solid knowledge in 3GPP standards and applying latest releases on architecture and design Familiar with IPv4 to IPv6 migration Ability to motivate and manage a multi-national team of engineers in a challenging, culturally diverse environment Excellent people and project management skills Ability to deal with tight deadlines and multiple concurrent urgent issues Fluent spoken and written English Ability to understand and speak Arabic is an advantage but no necessity.
